EastEnders actress Kellie Bright has given her verdict on the mystery murder plot that has captivated viewers since airing on Monday night (February 20). The actress, who portrays Linda Carter in the BBC soap, joined Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning to give her view on the much anticipated twist.
It comes after last night's episode saw EastEnders air a never-seen-before cliffhanger with a scene that flashed forward to the future. The end of the episode teased a clip from Christmas 2023 which saw a murder mystery unfold in the Queen Victoria.
Linda, along with Denise Fox, Kathy Beale, Sharon Watts, Stacey Slater and Suki Kaur Panesar, were each seen pale-faced, covered in blood and gathered around a body, before Sharon revealed 'he's dead'.

Unsurprisingly the scene, which was filmed 10 months into the future, has left viewers desperately trying to work out clues and guess who the male murder victim and the murderer could be.
But whilst appearing on This Morning, soap star Kellie Bright admitted she and the rest of the cast are just as clueless as EastEnders fans as she revealed she has 'no idea' about the plot.
"When we filmed that flashforward, we weren't told very much at all. One of the things that you can't really see on that clip though is that I had a split lip. I don't know why and I don't know how," Kellie revealed.
Holly then quizzed: "So they genuinely haven't told you anything either?," to which Kellie replied: "No." Phil also probed: "But somebody is dead on the floor, was it a stunt actor?." Kellie then responded: "We had stand-in, a body double if you like."
The Linda actress then gave viewers an exclusive: "Actually when we filmed it, they actually made Tish [Letitia Dean - who plays Sharon] film it two ways so we actually had a 'he's dead' and a 'she's dead'."
Speaking to Holly and Phil, Kellie also said she watched the episode for the first time at the same time as the viewers last night. "Watching it last night was really the first time that I was like 'oh it is a man'," she said.
Holly then asked: "So do you think it is somebody that we know already or could it be someone that we've not met yet?". And Kellie gave her own verdict: "I think it could be either of those. You can imagine can't you that we've all gone right around the houses of who we think it could be.
"I think there is going to be lots and lots of red herrings, it's going to shift and change throughout the year.I think we're going to have individual stories that intertwine and then come together at this final point."
The actress added: "There's a lot of speculation but last night I suddenly realised that one of us has done it. As Holly asked Kellie if she has a feeling that the murderer is Linda, she said: "I would be surprised if it's me, but we have no idea. I'm sort of feeling that it might be a group thing, a group job, but I don't know."
