BBC EastEnders announces change to episodes this week amid dramatic scenes

There is set to be a lot of drama in Albert Square the week commencing Monday, June 19 and how viewers will be able to watch BBC flagship soap EastEnders has changed. The truth will be revealed and secrets will be spilt as the new Knight family are front and centre of the episodes.

The big question, what happened to Rose Knight, the missing wife of new Queen Vic landlord George Knight, is set to be answered in the episodes airing on BBC One at 7.30pm on Wednesday, June 21 and Thursday, June 22. This means instead of dropping episodes at 6am on BBC iPlayer the morning before airing, there will be no early previews so fans will have to wait.

Posting the scheduling news on Instagram the official EastEnders account said: "The truth about George Knight's family is set to be revealed this week! To find out what really happened all those years ago, Wednesday and Thursday's episodes of #EastEnders will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 7.30pm so everyone can watch the truth unfold together..."

The new episodes are set to reveal the whereabouts of Rose Knight, who some people suspect is actually Cindy Beale. Actress Michelle Collins is rumoured to be making a return to the show alongside Adam Woodyatt, who plays Ian Beale - read our interview with him here.

Michelle appeared on EastEnders between 1988 and 1997 and her character Cindy was involved in several major storylines. A year after leaving the show, it was revealed that Cindy had apparently died in childbirth, though nothing was ever shown on-screen.
