BBC DIY SOS star Nick Knowles 'raging' as new girlfriend, 32, hit with 'abuse'

Nick Knowles said he is "raging" after trolls have "attacked" his new girlfriend.

The DIY SOS star, 59, enjoyed a romantic meal in London with Katie Dadzie, 32, over the Easter weekend. The couple looked happy as they embraced during a cigarette break outside Hakasan restaurant in Mayfair.

They were then pictured strolling hand-in-hand as they browsed the cars in the Bentley showroom before jumping in a taxi together to head home. According to Mirror Online, Nick was first romantically linked with Katie eight months ago after he met the mum-of-two at a kids group attended by his youngest son.

Nick, 59, took to his Instagram stories on Wednesday to slam "abusive" trolls who he says have "attacked" Katie. He said: "I'm raging.

"The woman I was out to dinner with when we were papped is 32, has degrees in two subjects, runs 3 businesses, is wealthier & more successful than me and is intelligent and independent, unlike the abusive trolls attacking her.

"What happened to #bekind?"

Nick recently returned to DIY SOS after being reprimanded for appearing in a Shreddies advert. He was replaced by Rhod Gilbert on last year's The Big Build Children In Need special.

In the advert he is seen as a builder and under BBC editorial guidelines actors and artists are banned from appearing in promotional work "in a way which mimics or replicates their on-air roles for the BBC." In a joint statement the BBC and Nick said: “Both Nick and the BBC have resolved the issue recently reported relating to Nick’s commercial agreements and BBC guidelines.

“With the campaign still running, Nick will step back from the DIY SOS Children In Need special this year but will be back on our screens in 2022.” The BBC said in a separate statement that Nick "is an important member of the BBC family" and that Nick was very supportive of Rhod taking his role.
