SEASON two of the popular BBC gameshow The Traitors has been confirmed and applications are open to be a part of the show.
The show hosted by Claudia Winkleman and filmed in the Scottish Highlands shocked the nation with its dramatic twists and tense discussions, with some describing it as one of the best pieces of British television in a long time.
The Traitors is based on the Dutch show De Verraders which began in 2021 and has since been adapted into a UK, Australian and USA version.
The show's first season concluded in December and fans have been waiting for news of a second.
TV critic and broadcaster Scott Bryan revealed this morning on Twitter, the BBC had now confirmed a second season.

Bryan said: "THE TRAITORS SERIES TWO HAS BEEN CONFIRMED.
"Kudos to the BBC Press team who sent an email to journalists with the subject heading: "The BBC is 100% faithful to The Traitors."
Applications for those wanting to be a part of season 2, are now open.

Applications are now open for season two of The Traitors.
Head to the BBC website and visit the "take part" section and look for The Traitors link.
Applicants must be 18 years or older and entries close on July 31, 2023.
