Fantastic telly is as much a Christmas staple as turkey, Baileys and selection boxes, and this year looks to be no different.
The BBC has confirmed a number of its usual offerings will return this festive season, along with some new and anticipated programmes. And for the first time ever, of course, we'll see the King's Speech on our screens.
Among many entertaining specials, Line of Duty star Martin Compston is back in a brand new show, Mayflies, while viewers can expect programmes like Strictly and Call the Midwife as usual.

This will be followed by Michael McIntyre's Christmas Wheel at 6:25pm, the Ghosts Christmas special at 7:25pm, Call the Midwife at 7:55pm, EastEnders at 9:25pm and then the Mrs Brown's Boys Christmas special at 10:25pm.
A special episode of Inside No.9 will air on December 21 at 9pm, while the Celebrity MasterChef Christmas Cook Off will be broadcast from 8pm on December 23.
The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse, which follows the unlikely friendship of a boy, a mole, a fox and a horse travelling together in the boy’s search for home, will air at 4.55pm on Christmas Eve.
