BBC Chloe: Viewers complain show is 'too dark' as fans still confused about what's happening

Viewers have been left baffled by the BBC's new psychological thriller that is set in Bristol.

The second installment of Chloe aired tonight, and some viewers complained the episode was too dark.

While others took to social media to say they are even more confused than they were on Sunday when the series kicked off.

In the latest episode, Becky continues with her alter ego Sasha meeting up with Chloe's former friends. Stress levels were pushed to the extreme when she attends a big party and her cover is almost blown.

Her tangle of lies comes to a head when friends bump into each other that shouldn't, but Becky is able to survive by the skin of her teeth thanks to love interest, Josh.

Dozens of fans took to Twitter to discuss their theories about what is actually happening and complain about tonight's lighting.

@TraynorSue said: "Is it just me, or our TV, but #Chloe on #BBC1 is so dark I can't see anything. Do people not turn lights on anymore?"

And @WiththeMoles: "It’s too bleeding dark I can’t see anything."

While @TheMainstand: "We know we have to view the flashbacks as unreliable, I think, cos we are seeing via Becky, and she is mixed memories/fantasy?"

The show, created by Sex Education writer Alice Seabright, stars Erin Doherty, who plays the young Princess Anne in The Crown.

And the series is set in Bristol, showcasing a number of locations from St George's to Bristol Beacon.
