Erin Doherty, 29, will be a familiar face for viewers of The Crown on Netflix, in which she played Princess Anne and drew critical acclaim for her portrayal of the Queen's daughter. Erin recently revealed that she'd "fallen in love" with Princess Anne after playing the royal in her wildly successful series.
But Erin, from West Sussex, views her relationship as her greatest achievement, according to an answer she gave during an Audible Questionnaire. Asked "What do you consider your greatest achievement?" Erin looked lovingly at her partner, Sophie Melville, and answered: "My relationship".
Sophie Melville is also an actor. She was born in Swansea in 1991 and went to the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Sophie is a theatre actor who says "it’s incredibly liberating to get out of your own head and try to understand how other people work". She has starred in The Pact, Canaries and Iphigenia in Splott, which she described as "the play that changed my life". The play is a Greek tragedy reimagined in Cardiff and Sophie's performance in it was hailed as "blistering".
In November 2020, Erin and Sophie were pictured shopping together at Lidl in south-east London, but they both keep a relatively low profile, with Erin only setting up an Instagram account in 2019.
