BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent looked glamorous as she let down her hair despite the backdrop of her recent marriage breakdown.
Sally, 51, returned to Instagram over the weekend with a series of photos as she sparkled in a sequin top and jeans as she had the finishing touches to her make-up applied. She beamed to the camera as the sun shone in the background for the snaps.
The star - who typically presents Breakfast on BBC One each Monday to Wednesday alongside co-star Jon Kay - has split from husband Gavin Hawthorn after 13 years of marriage, according to reports which circulated earlier this month.
Gavin is believed to have moved out of their family home in Cheshire, leaving the broadcaster "devastated".
Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source said: "It's very sad but they are no longer together.
"I think they tried to tough it out for quite a while as they didn't want to split up if they could possibly help it for the sake of their son but they clearly couldn't make a go of it.
"They've both been very guarded about the reasons behind their growing apart but it's been plain for a while that they had been and now it's obvious that they haven't been able to resolve that despite clearly trying for some time."
She became a regular presenter for BBC Breakfast following the departure of Louise Minchin in 2021. The couple, who have a teenage son, live in a gated mansion in Hale.
The broadcaster appeared to be putting on a straight face as she threw herself into work last Monday during her first TV appearance since the news of her marriage breakdown became public.
Sally appeared to be in high spirits as she and Jon chatted to co-star Nina Warhurst who recently returned from Liverpool, where she immersed herself in all things Eurovision.
She looked sensational as she sat on the sofa, with one social media user branding Sally a "Greg Goddess" due to her wardrobe choices.
Birkenhead-born Sally opted for an all-in-one cream suit which was neatly kept in place by a belt around her waist while her brunette tresses were styled into loose waves resting on her shoulder.
It was reported that the star and businessman Gavin had been "moving in different directions" prior to their split but decided to keep things under wraps.
