BBC Breakfast's Owain Wyn Evans has got his own show on Radio 2 after a bit of a bloodbath at the station in recent months.
The Welsh weather presenter, 38, will be taking over from Vanessa Feltz, 60, who left Radio 2 in August after nearly 20 years behind the mic.
Taking to Twitter with news of the switch, the BBC North West star said: "SOME NEWS. I'm joining BBC Radio 2! From January I’ll be presenting the new Early Breakfast Show live from gorgeous Cardiff, making it the first daily Radio 2 show to be broadcast from Wales.
"I can’t wait to get started."
Owain later said: “When I asked my parents for a pair of turntables and a mixing desk from a DJ shop in Llanelli when I was 13 I never allowed myself to dream that one day I'd have my own show on Radio 2!
“I can’t wait to help kick start the day on Early Breakfast live from Cardiff.”
“Bore da dahlings as we say in Wales."
Scott Mills, who begins broadcasting his own Radio 2 show later this month, tweeted: "Congrats Owain!"
Helen Thomas, head of Radio 2, also sent her best wishes, saying: “I’d like to welcome Owain to the Radio 2 family.
“His deep connection with Wales is obvious and I’m delighted he will be broadcasting live from Cardiff every weekday morning.
Owain’s Early Breakfast Show will be the first live Radio 2 weekday programme to be recorded outside of London and will air Monday to Friday from 4am to 6.30am.
The star will be stepping down from his role as weather presenter for BBC North West.
Owain's new role comes after a number of big names have either left BBC Radio 2 or had their shows axed.
Paul O'Grady left the station after 14 years this summer in news which devastated his fans.
The presenter, 67, was replaced on his Sunday show for a spell by comedian Rob Beckett in a schedule change - and then the Lily Savage star decided to walk.
In a statement, Paul said: "I've loved doing my Sunday afternoon show for the last 14 years and I'm going to miss my listeners as well as the fun I've had with my producer Malcolm Prince, but I feel that now is the right time to go."
But he wasn't the only one.
In a seismic shake-up, Steve Wright also had his show axed.
Scott Mills will launch his new weekday afternoon show, taking over from Steve, who broadcast his last show last week after 23 years on the airwaves.
Resident BBC DJ Scott left Radio 1 after 24 years last month. He will launch his new afternoon show on Halloween.
Ahead of his Radio 2 debut, the star said he's looking forward to his "brand new era" in his "new home".
