BBC Breakfast’s Jon Kay has sent a farewell message to a colleague as they leave the broadcaster after an 'amazing experience'. The BBC Breakfast typically hosts Monday to Wednesday with Sally Nugent.
Jon paid tribute to co-worker Dominic Hirst, who announced he is leaving the BBC, reports Birmingham Live. Dominic announced: "Personal news – after 30 years I’ve decided to leave the BBC.
"Today is my final day. It’s been an amazing experience travelling the world with fantastic colleagues working on some of the biggest news stories. But time for new challenges."

Jon replied: "A brilliant producer - and lovely chap - who has been behind some of the BBC’s most important reports over many years. Congrats on a great career, Dom."
Luxmy said: "I’m so sorry you’re leaving Dom! You were so kind and helpful to me on my network corr attachment a couple of summers ago. Wish I’d got to work with you more! Thanks and good luck with your next chapter :)" Jon Sopel tweeted: "Dominic - very best of luck. Always a pleasure working with you. Anna wrote: "We were so lucky to work with you in Ukraine last year. Good luck and all the very best to you!" Reeta Chakrabati said: "Dom, I'm so sorry to hear this, although pastures new for you. You've been a fantastic colleague, a top class producer - and we've had some laughs too. Go well x"
