BBC Breakfast's Emma Vardy unrecognisable in Santa outfit as she helps isolating family

BBC Breakfast's Emma Vardy looked a world away from her on-screen persona when she rocked a Santa-inspired minidress for a good cause.

The Ireland correspondent, 40, told fans she'd been delivering presents to family members, who had been "struck down by Covid".

Donning a red Santa dress complete with fur trim, plunging neckline and black belt, which cinched her waist, Emma wrote: "Merry Christmas Belfast.

"Been out delivering pressies on the doorstep to family members struck down by Covid - so couldn’t resist a wee outfit.

"Hope everyone’s having a great day.

Posing in front of a Christmas tree at home in Belfast, holding a glass of bubbly - Emma looked delighted with life.

The saucy snaps went down a storm with fans with one writing: "Nice one Miss Claus."

While another posted: "Merry Christmas Emma .. looking fantastic .. all the best to you and your family."

Emma's sexy snap isn't the first time the journalist has shown a different side to her persona.

A spoof sex video featuring the BBC correspondent had to been taken down from social media because it was 'too raunchy'.

The BBC Ireland journalist was allegedly told by her bosses to remove the fundraising clip because it was 'inappropriate'.

Emma featured in a home video that aimed to raise money for NHS frontline workers.

Organised by her boyfriend's football team, the effort hope to fundraise for the NHS Charities Together's Covid-19 appeal.

However in one scene, the clip showed Emma in bed with her boyfriend, Aaron Adams, on top of her.

In the video, which was set to Queen's famous anthem I Want To Break Free, Emma sings the words 'I want to be free' while underneath her partner.

The couple then roll under the duvet before the scene ends.

A spokesperson for the BBC later said: "This was intended to be light-hearted, but Emma accepts it was inappropriate and has removed the clip."

A new version of the clip was quickly put together to replace the suggestive scenes.

The respected journalist, who joined the BBC in 2006, has been BBC News' Ireland Correspondent since 2018.
