BBC breakfast forced to hold actual clock in corner of screen after graphic breaks

A digital glitch on BBC Breakfast this morning saw the presenting team go back in time to use an old-fashioned analogue clock

The early morning show kicked off at 6am without the time display viewers are used to seeing ticking away in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

As presenter Naga Munchetty explained, the network was having technical difficulties that had led to the disappearance of the time graphic.

“I’ve fixed your clock problem,” he said. “Because I know a lot of people this morning are only watching us for the clock, good morning, because you need to get ready for work and school, so I’ll just leave that there.”

Ben Thompson came to the rescue with an analogue clock he pulled out and placed on the desk (BBC Breakfast)

Co presenter Charlie Stayt added: “If you could just stay there with your hand for the next two hours forty-five?
