The BBC has confirmed that it has no plans to make any future series of Eat Well For Less and Shop Well For Less, as well as spin-off Shop Well For The Planet. The most recent edition of Eat Well was hosted by Jordan Banjo and Chris Bavin, and Gavin & Stacey star Joanna Page and Melanie Sykes fronted the latest run of episodes of Shop Well.
In a statement, the broadcaster said: "Sometimes we have to make difficult decisions in order to make way for new shows and we currently have no plans to bring back Eat Well For Less or Shop Well For Less.”
They continued to tell TV Zone: "We would like to thank the team at RDF West who produced both series, and presenters Chris Bavin and Jordan Banjo, and Joanna Page and Melanie Sykes, for all their hard work and enthusiasm bringing these shows to our screens.” Will you miss the series? Eat Well for Less saw Chris and Jordan, and formerly Gregg Wallace, help families across the UK save money and sort food facts from fiction. The series first aired in 2015.
Meanwhile, Shop Well For The Planet saw Chris and Jordan join forces with Joanna and Melanie to help families across the UK find out if they can shop better for the planet without spending a fortune. Alex Jones and Steph McGovern hosted the series before Joanna and Melanie took over.
Previous series of both Eat Well For Less and Shop Well For Less are available now on BBC iPlayer. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
