BBC Antiques Roadshow gears up for filming in Glasgow as tents erected at Pollok Country Park

Tents have been erected at a popular park in Glasgow ahead of Antiques Roadshow filming at the well-known spot.

The hit BBC programme is coming to Pollok House and Pollok Country Park with Glaswegians encouraged to bring their items to be valuated by experts.

Marquees have this evening (July 3) been spotted at the park as preparations for the event - which kicks off on Tuesday July 4 - get underway.

Earlier this year, producers asked locals to submit photographs of special items they would like to take to the event. Only those with tickets will be allowed access to the event tomorrow.

GlasgowLive previously reported how a £25 charity shop purchase - a painting by a senior lecturer at the Glasgow School of Art - was valued at a staggering £4,000 to £6,000.

Whether Glaswegians will get lucky with their treasured items is just something we will have to wait to see.

Producers will continue to consider items brought along on the day including family heirlooms, household treasures and car boot bargains for inspection.
