Two shows with celebrity hosts have been axed from the BBC. Eat Well for Less, starring Jordan Banjo and Chris Bavin, and Shop Well for less, starring Joanna Page and Melanie Sykes, have both been cut from the BBC's schedules.
Eat Well for Less had addressed the issues of rising food prices, and looked at how they were affecting people's finances and their eating habits, as Chris and Jordan travelled around the UK meeting families struggling to eat well on a budget.
Over the course of a week they watch what the families buy and eat, then make suggestions on how they can change their habits to be healthier, save money, cut food waste and enjoy conflict free meals reports Birmingham Live.
Whereas Shop Well for Less shows Jo and Mel helping families change the way their shop without changing their lifestyle. The pair took on the roles from Steph McGovern and Alex Jones, and had been "using their shopping and business expertise to try and save families money."
Regarding the future of the shows, a spokesperson said: "Sometimes we have to make difficult decisions in order to make way for new shows and we currently have no plans to bring back Eat Well For Less or Shop Well For Less. We would like to thank the team at RDF West who produced both series, and presenters Chris Bavin and Jordan Banjo, and Joanna Page and Melanie Sykes, for all their hard work and enthusiasm bringing these shows to our screens."
