Baz Ashmawy has emerged as one of the favourites to take over The Late Late Show.

The Irish bookmaker sliced this price to 25/1 over the weekend as punters weighed in behind him.

However, Claire Byrne maintains her stronghold with odds as short as 4/11 to be the next host. Byrne, 47, is followed by fellow current affairs host Sarah McInerney, 41, at 3/1 while Angela Scanlon, 39, is a 9/2 chance.

Meanwhile, odds for Katie Hannon, 51, have been cut from 16/1 to 12/1 and that sw her leapfrog Tommy Tiernan, 53, who has drifted from 10/1 to 14/1 despite topping a poll conducted by Paddy Power last week.
