Baz Ashmawy has emerged as one of the favourites to take over The Late Late Show.
Paddy Power has slashed the odds on Baz, 47, replacing Ryan Tubridy after his appearance on the RTE show.
Ashmawy was a massive 100/1 outsider before his appearance on Friday night.

The Irish bookmaker sliced this price to 25/1 over the weekend as punters weighed in behind him.
However, Claire Byrne maintains her stronghold with odds as short as 4/11 to be the next host. Byrne, 47, is followed by fellow current affairs host Sarah McInerney, 41, at 3/1 while Angela Scanlon, 39, is a 9/2 chance.
Meanwhile, odds for Katie Hannon, 51, have been cut from 16/1 to 12/1 and that sw her leapfrog Tommy Tiernan, 53, who has drifted from 10/1 to 14/1 despite topping a poll conducted by Paddy Power last week. Its spokesperson Rachael Kane said: “Our poll suggests the public don’t care about the gender of the next Late Late Show host.
“But the betting patterns tell a different story, with female personalities stealing the show as far as the money is concerned.”
