Bayern Munich 3-1 Real Madrid LIVE
International Champions Cup 2019
Venue: NRG Stadium, Houston, Texas
It was a pre-season opener to forget for Real Madrid as Los Blancos fell to a wholly deserved 3-1 defeat against Bayern Munich in Houston.
Corentin Tolisso opened the scoring after 15 minutes, while 11 changes from Zinedine Zidane at half-time saw Real lose their rhythm after the break.
Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry scored within three minutes of each other to embarrass Real, though Sven Ulreich's late red card allowed Rodrygo to add some gloss to the scoreline with a superbly-taken free-kick.
It was not the debut Eden Hazard would have wanted, but there will certainly be better days ahead for both the Belgian and Real.
