Bayern Munich have submitted an improved offer for Tottenham striker Harry Kane after their first bid was rejected. Thomas Tuchel is keen on signing the England captain with the German outfit having launched a £60million plus add-ons offer at the end of June.
Daniel Levy does not want to lose Kane this summer but Bayern are pushing to test Spurs' nerve as the German giants look to sign a new striker. football.london understands Tottenham are still making it very clear that they would immediately reject a bid for Kane should they receive one.
According to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Bayern have now made a second bid to sign the 29-year-old with an offer of €80million (£68m) plus add-ons. The likelihood is that Tottenham will swiftly reject the German outfit's proposal once again unless they receive a record-breaking bid.
Plettenberg added that Kane 'definitely' wants to join Bayern and play under Tuchel in the Bundesliga. Kane’s contract negotiations with Tottenham were put on hold last season, with the striker instead focusing on trying to help the club return to the Champions League.
After Spurs missed out on European football altogether following an eighth-placed finish in the Premier League - Kane may decide that he wants to play Champions League football as he moves into the latter stages of his career. The England captain has entered the final 12 months of his contract, sparking speculation that he could leave the club.

Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with moves for the 29-year-old but Bayern are the only club to make a formal offer for his signature so far. Spurs are thought to prefer to sell Kane abroad rather than to a direct rival in the Premier League.
