Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala sends Champions League warning to Man City

Bayern Munich attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala still believes his team can progress past Manchester City to the Champions League semi-finals.

City were at their clinical best last Tuesday as Pep Guardiola's team put the Bundesliga giants to the sword. Rodri's world class strike was followed by goals from Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland in the second half to secure a 3-0 victory.

Despite being second best at the Etihad Stadium last week, Musiala stressed that he was pleased with Bayern's display and that it gives them confidence of producing a shock win in Germany. He told Bild: "We all believe that we can turn this tie around.

"The first leg in Manchester has shown that. The way we played against City was good. We played with a lot of confidence and spirit, we had our chances. If we had a bit more luck, the game would’ve been different. We know that in Munich, the shots have to go in. There’s definitely still a chance.

"We’re playing at home in the Allianz Arena, our fans will be there, and we have 90 minutes to decide the game in our favour. We’ll give everything to reach the semi-finals."

Whoever progresses to the last four of the Champions League knows that they are in for a tricky task if they wish to reach the final. Real Madrid beat Chelsea 2-0 last night thanks to a Rodrygo brace to win 4-0 on aggregate.

Carlo Ancelotti's men will face the winner of Bayern vs City in the semi-finals. Elsewhere, AC Milan booked their place in the last four with a 2-1 aggregate victory over Napoli.

They will face either rivals Inter or Benfica in the other semi-final, with the San Siro club holding a 2-0 advantage at present.
