Bayern Munich Sporting Director Hasan Salihamidžić believes Marc Roca will bring Leeds United ‘a lot of joy’ after confirmation of his move arrived earlier this evening. The Spanish midfielder put pen to paper on a four-year-deal after successfully completing a medical at Thorp Arch.
The 25-year-old has joined for a fee in the region of £10 million and becomes Leeds’ third signing of the summer following the additions of Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen from Red Bull Salzburg. Roca arrives at Leeds in search of regular game time after just 15 league appearances in two seasons at the Allianz Arena.
But despite his lack of minutes, Roca certainly left a lasting impression on his former club, with some impressive performances in matches where he was handed an opportunity. Current Bayern boss J ulien Naglesmann was almost apologetic to Roca for his limited match action in the wake of an excellent individual display in a 5-0 win over Stuttgart last December.

And now Sporting Director Salihamidžić has released a statement on fcbayern.com hailing the personality, professionalism and ability of Roca, before then backing him to be a success during his time at Leeds.
He said: "Marc has a wonderful character, he is also a very professional, very good footballer. He always showed us that when he was deployed. Marc came to us now and wanted to get more playing time.
“We have therefore agreed to a transfer to Leeds United. We are convinced that Marc Leeds will bring a lot of joy. Its qualities are undisputed. We wish him every success on his further path."
