Bayern Munich Ready To Sell Noussair Mazraoui Amid Transfer Interest

Real Madrid's Brahim Diaz, right, speaks with Bayern's Noussair Mazraoui at the end of the Champions League semifinal first leg soccer match between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena

Bayern Munich is actively looking to sell Noussair Mazraoui this summer, with Manchester United and West Ham United expressing interest in the Moroccan right-back. The club has already made significant investments in new players this transfer window, exceeding $150 million. As a result, Bayern is now focused on offloading players before considering further acquisitions.

Former Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeneß emphasized that no new players will be brought in until prominent players are sold. Recent reports suggest that Manchester United and West Ham United are in talks to secure Mazraoui's services, with Bayern initially valuing him at €30 million but now considering a more realistic price of around €20 million.

Mazraoui, signed on a free transfer from Ajax Amsterdam in 2022, presents an opportunity for Bayern to make a profit despite the lower transfer fee. However, the potential sale may not generate sufficient funds to strengthen the squad further, especially with ongoing negotiations for other players like Désiré Doué and Xavi Simons.

Bayern values Mazraoui at €30 million but may settle for around €20 million.

With Bayern aiming to raise funds, Mazraoui has emerged as a prime candidate for a transfer away from the club. The club's pursuit of player sales is driven by the need to balance the books, particularly as high-earning players like Joshua Kimmich and Serge Gnabry are unlikely to depart this summer.

While interest from multiple clubs, including West Ham United, presents an opportunity to negotiate a higher fee for Mazraoui, the transfer process may face complexities. Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong is also on Manchester United's radar, offering a dynamic alternative at right-back with a higher release clause.

Despite uncertainties surrounding Mazraoui's departure, Bayern remains optimistic about leveraging the interest to secure favorable deals in a busy transfer window. The club's strategic approach to player sales reflects a calculated effort to strengthen the squad while maintaining financial stability amidst evolving market dynamics.
