'Bawaal': Varun Dhawan recalls visiting Auschwitz concentration camp while shooting; says 'I couldn't bear to see shoes and other belongings of children there'- Exclusive

Nitesh Tiwari's film, 'Bawaal' released on an OTT platform today and has been receiving positive reviews from all sides. The film stars Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles.

The actors shot for the film across Europe including Paris, Amsterdam, and Poland. During their Poland schedule, Varun, along with his team, visited the Auschwitz concentration camp. 'Bawaal' is probably one of the few films that was allowed to shoot in the concentration camp. ETimes has learnt that they were even allowed to take some aerial shots of the place.

In an informal chat, Varun revealed that he got very disturbed after the visit. The actor said that he couldn't bear to see the shoes and other belongings of the children there. He also added that while the women of the unit put up a strong front and completed the tour, not all the men in the unit could do it.

The movie marked the reunion of Sajid Nadiadwala and Nitesh Tiwari after their National Award Winning collaboration of 'Chhichhore'. This is also the first time Janhvi and Varun have shared the screen space.

Apart from this, Varun will be seen in 'Sanki' with Sajid Nadiadwala. He also has Raj and DK's 'Citadel India' with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Janhvi, on the other hand, will be seen in 'Mr and Mrs Mahi' with Rajkummar Rao.
