Oscar-nominated actor Brendan Fraser reckons 'Gotham never looked better cast as Glasgow' when speaking of the doomed Batgirl film.
Appearing on the Howard Stern podcast, the actor discussed the cancelled film which was shot entirely in Glasgow with the city transformed into Gotham by set builders, including alterations to shop fronts and cars.
The star discusses the filming process and the subsequent cancellation of the movie's release after poor screen tests, adding they shot the entire movie now 'in a vault somewhere'. The actor played the villain Firefly, a disgruntled veteran who becomes a sociopathic pyromaniac.

Howard Stern asks if he believed it to be a good movie, with Brendan answering a firm 'yes'. He said: "Gotham never looked better cast as Glasgow, Scotland. Decaying and just gorgeous and it's just Gotham City, y'know.
"It's perfectly cast, you believe it no matter where you look in the town."
Filming took place around Glasgow from January to April of last year with multiple parts of the city centre brought to a standstill during high-octane scenes, including George Square.
Brendan adds that he 'relished' the role, which 'seemed great on paper', and that he had 'great fun' filming. 'Podcast host Howard then asks if he believes the film will ever be seen, with Brendan answering "possibly", before adding that he hasn't seen any of the movie himself.
