Barry Robson believes Aberdeen could have scored six in Gothenburg comeback

Aberdeen boss Barry Robson reckons the Dons could have scored six goals in Sweden after they completed a Gothenburg comeback in the Europa League play-off.

The Dons missed plenty of chances and it looked like it would cost them as the Swedish champions went two goals up.

But the Pittodrie side at least showed their clinical side when Bojan Miovski and Nicky Devlin scored twice within the space of four second half minutes with a pair of excellent goals.

Hacken seemed to run out of gas with the Scots looking stronger as the game went on, with the hosts also having Johan Hammar sent off late on for two bookings.

And Robson was thrilled at the fine performance of his team, who will now be favourites to progress next week against a side they thrashed 5-1 at Pittodrie two years ago.

He said: "We could have scored five or six goals against a proper team.

"Don’t anyone think they’re not a good side - they are a right good side and we could have won it.

"I was always confident a goal would come.

"You can see how aggressive we were, even in the first half. Then in the second half we brought the ball with us and got a lot better with the ball.

"The new signings did well when they came on. But I think the ones that were on the pitch to start with did well also.

"I don’t think the comeback changes anything in the game.

"You can see a team that wants to pass and wants to go full throttle. It is a good clash.

"That was a brilliant game and let's see what we can do next week."
