Barry Keoghan settles in surprising Scottish town with partner and baby son

Barry Keoghan and his partner and baby son have reportedly settled down in a town in Scotland.

The 30-year-old Dublin native scooped the Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Banshees of Inisherin at the BAFTAs on Sunday night, and he dedicated the award to the kids of Summerhill in Dublin.

And Barry, his partner Alyson Sandro, and their baby son Brando have moved to a home in Broughty Ferry in Dundee in recent months, reports local newspaper The Courier.

The couple had previously lived in London before making the big move to the seaside town, where orthodontist Alyson grew up. Barry and Alyson welcomed their first child, Brando, in August 2022.

Barry grew up in Summerhill in Dublin city centre alongside his brother Eric. The brothers spent seven years in foster homes as their mother struggled with addiction. When Barry was just 12 years old, his mum sadly passed away from a heroin overdose.

He was then raised by his grandmother and aunt. In 2011, Barry began his acting career and he studied at The Factory in Dublin, and in the same year appeared in Fair City when he was 18.

In 2013, he picked up his break-through role in the RTE drama Love/Hate where he played the "infamous cat killer" Wayne. Barry's most successful film to date has been his role as the sensitive Dominic Kearney in The Banshees of Inisherin opposite fellow Dublin stars Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson.

On Sunday night at the BAFTAs, The Banshees of Inisherin had a hugely successful night as it scooped up four awards at the annual awards ceremony in London including Best Original Screenplay and Best British Film, as well as acting gongs for Barry Keoghan and Kerry Condon.

Barry is now hotly tipped to pick up an award at the Oscars, which will take place on March 13 in Hollywood.
