Barry Ferguson promises Scott Brown 'a few kicks' in upcoming showdown

Ahead of the Scottish Masters 6-a-side tournament in Aberdeen, Rangers legend Barry Ferguson reckons he and Scott Brown owe each other "a few kicks" when they meet each other at the P&J Live Arena.

The former Celtic captain and current Ayr United boss is among the legends featuring for Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen and Dundee United, and Ferguson is already looking forward to it.

Speaking to Gambling.com ahead of the event – which will be broadcast live on BBC Scotland on Thursday, November 14 – the former Rangers captain said: "I’m looking forward to it. It's going to be great meeting up with my ex-teammates. We don't see too much of one another, so it'll be good to catch up with all of them.

"And then coming up against some of the players that you used to play against a few years ago. Albeit, they're a lot younger than me - I'm probably going to be one of the oldest ones there.

"I'm not sure if I'll get a brilliant reception in Aberdeen, but no, I'm looking forward to it. It's always a good event. Unfortunately, I missed it last year because I had a knee problem and I got an operation. I've been doing a little bit of training, so I'm all good to go."

Ferguson added: "I think I'll owe [Scott Brown] a few kicks and he'll owe me a few kicks. So that'll be fun, I’m looking forward to that.

"Obviously, you don't see much of them (Brown and other former rivals) now - you see them every now and then. It's good to come up against guys who you had a right few battles with."
