Barry Ferguson orders definitive Rangers goalkeeper answer as he's no fan of Michael Beale rotation game

Barry Ferguson says Michael Beale can't keep rotating his Rangers goalkeepers - but admits it eventually paid off against Ross County.

Debate has arisen again around the stopper department at Ibrox after Jon McLaughlin replaced Allan McGregor between the sticks for the 2-1 Premiership victory over Highland opposition. It didn't pass without error though as the Scotland international flapped at a County cross and Jordan White nodded home to level proceedings.

Malik Tillman had put Rangers in front before Borna Barisic's free-kick granted Beale another three points. But speaking on Go Radio, former club captain and Record Sport columnist Ferguson saidit is a position the Light Blues manager has to get a definitive answer on: "I think it is a position you can't rotate. I'm just giving my honest opinion. He mentioned fatigue and I know goalkeepers have got to do a bit of running, but I can not see how they can be.

"For me, Allan McGregor is Rangers' number one until the end of the season. I was surprised that he made the change again but it's worked as they won.

"I know Jon McLaughlin has made a mistake at a goal, he's come out and flapped a bit at it, but they haven't lost. So it looks like he's made the right decision.

"But for me it's a position I don't like seeing a lot of rotation. If you ask professionals that are playing at this moment in time, I think most of them would agree with me."
