Barry Ferguson names Rangers starting XI to face Hibernian

Interim Rangers head coach Barry Ferguson has named his team to face Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.

The Ibrox side go into the game off the back of a dramatic 4-3 victory over Dundee last time out.

Despite trailing by two goals on two separate occasions, Rangers rallied, with Cyriel Dessers' chip proving the difference late on.

Ferguson's men now return to home soil to face a Hibs team who are unbeaten in their last 15 league matches.

David Gray has spearheaded a dramatic upturn in form at Easter Road following an inconsistent start to the season. His team are well in contention to finish third in the top flight.

The last time the sides met, they played out an enthralling six-goal thriller, with Rocky Bushiri's late leveller earning Hibs a point after Hamza Igamane bagged a hat-trick.

For today's affair, Ferguson has made two alterations to his starting lineup from his side's trip to Dundee last weekend.

Confirmed Rangers starting XI: Butland, Tavernier, Sterling, Souttar, Jefte, Barron, Diomande, Raskin, Cerny, Igamane, Dessers.

Subs: Kelly, Propper, Cortes, Bajrami, Balogun, Hagi, McCausland, Curtis, Danilo.
