Barry Ferguson names Rangers starting XI to face Dundee as Vaclav Cerny misses out

Interim Rangers head coach Barry Ferguson has named his team to face Dundee in the Scottish Premiership this evening - and there's a notable absence.

The Ibrox club heads to the north-east as they make their return to action after the international break.

Last time out, Rangers came away from Parkhead triumphant after a 3-2 victory over city rivals Celtic.

Nicolas Raskin, Mohamed Diomande and Hamza Igamane all scored on that day as Ferguson led his team to a memorable win.

Glasgow's east end wasn't a happy hunting ground for Rangers before a fortnight ago. Similarly, Dens Park has proved a tricky venue for the Govan side of late.

Rangers have dropped points upon their last two trips to face Dundee, but will look to change that today.

From his side's 3-2 win over Celtic last time out, Ferguson has made one alteration for tonight's match as Igamane replaces the injured Vaclav Cerny.

Confirmed Rangers XI to face Dundee: Butland, Tavernier, Souttar, Balogun, Ridvan, Sterling, Raskin, Barron, Diomande, Igamane, Dessers.

Substitutes: Kelly, Propper, Cortes, Lawrence, Bajrami, Jefte, Hagi, Rice, Danilo.

Dundee starting XI: Carson, Shaughnessey, McGhee, Tiffoney, Mulligan, Adewumi, Murray, F. Robertson, Larkeche, Sylla, Donnelly.

Substitutes: McCracken, Sharp, Astley, Reilly, Samuels, Koumetio, Ingram, Garza, Lopez.
