Rangers will be without winger Vaclav Cerny for tonight’s Scottish Premiership clash against Dundee due to a hamstring injury.
Interim head coach Barry Ferguson confirmed that Cerny, who has been a shining light in Light Blue this season, picked up the issue during the recent international break, and the decision was made to leave him out of the squad to avoid further risk.
"We are obviously disappointed that he's going to be missing. He's come back with a hamstring issue. I made the decision that it wasn't worth the risk because he's obviously a big player for us," Ferguson told Rangers TV prior to the game at Dens Park.

"So, we just need to see how he recovers. Again, it's an opportunity for another player to come in and this time it's Hamza [Igamane], and he needs to go and show that he should be in the starting XI. It's a good opportunity for him, he should be high in confidence obviously getting the winning goal against Celtic, he got called up for Morocco, so I'm expecting a big performance off of Hamza today."
With Cerny out, Ferguson is hopeful that Hamza Igamane, who scored the winning goal in the 3-2 league win over Celtic last time out, can seize the opportunity and deliver a standout performance.
The 27-year-old’s absence will be a significant blow for Rangers, but it opens the door for others to step up in their push for a strong end to the campaign.
