Barrhead Travel is reaching out to scores of unemployed Thomas Cook staff after opening up 100 positions across their 34 outlets across the UK.
The Glasgow-based travel firm is expanding its workforce – and they're hoping to help those who have been made redundant following the collapse of Thomas Cook earlier this week.
Thomas Cook collapsed in the early hours of Monday morning after it was unable to secure its last-ditch rescue deal – leaving 9000 employees jobless and without pay.
Barrhead Travel plan on repositioning a team of people to travel to meet with potential candidates throughout the UK over the coming weeks.
The company has created a positions throughout the UK store network, with new jobs across Scottish cities and towns including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen.
In a statement, they said former Thomas Cook employees will "bring a wealth of experience to the Barrhead Travel family" as they actively encourage them to contact the Barrhead Travel recruitment line.
The majority of positions available are customer-focused roles within their branches or specialist call centres however there are vacancies also available in marketing, IT and Business Development.
