The battle to avoid relegation to the Championship is the main talking point heading into the final game of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign. With Southampton already down following a nightmare season on the south coast, two of Everton, Leicester City and Leeds United will join them in England's second tier.
As things stand, Everton are in the driving seat to retain their place in the top flight as they are one place above the drop zone and have a two-point advantage over their rivals. However, things are never straightforward on the final day and we have seen a number of twists and turns in the final 90 minutes of the season in years gone by.
Whoever does drop down to the Championship come Sunday evening will most likely see their best players depart in the summer as they look to cash in on their most valuable assets. Premier League clubs will very much be keeping tabs on what happens at the bottom as there could be some transfer bargains to be had.

Tottenham face a pivotal summer in north London as they look to rebuild and get back to their previous heights, so are there any current players at Everton, Leicester, Leeds and Southampton who could be worth moving for? football.london takes a look below.
Everton
Tottenham have already been linked with one of Everton's players this summer regardless of whether they stay in the top flight or not. The player in question is Jordan Pickford.
As Spurs will be on the lookout for a new shot-stopper ahead of the new term, England's No.1 has been mentioned in regards to a switch to north London. The 29-year-old has proved his quality for club and country over the past six years and he would be a very shrewd acquisition for any club.
However, the Toffees would still be able to demand a decent fee for the ex-Sunderland man as he penned a new long-term contract at Goodison Park back in February. Another Everton player, although not at the club right now, who could depart this summer if the Blues go down is Jarrad Branthwaite.
The young centre-back is currently on loan with PSV and has enjoyed an excellent season in the Eredivisie, scoring four goals and registering two assists in 36 appearances in all competitions. Linked with Manchester United, Liverpool and Roma, Everton will make a tidy profit on Branthwaite if he's sold as they purchased him from Carlisle United in January 2020 for a fee which could rise to £1.5million.
Midfielder Amadou Onana will also have a number of suitors this summer after a decent start to life in the Premier League following his summer switch from Lille. A player who would offer Tottenham more quality in the middle of the park, the Belgian international would cost a sizeable fee after moving to Goodison Park for £33million last August.
Leicester City
All eyes will be on James Maddison this summer with an exit from the King Power Stadium a certainty. Making a huge impression at Leicester with 55 goals and 41 assists in 202 matches, the England international is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract and the Foxes need to cash in on him.
As Tottenham have yet to find a replacement for Christian Eriksen following his move to Inter Milan in January 2020, Maddison would be the perfect player to come in and help solve Spurs' creative woes. Newcastle United are also believed to be in the mix for his signature as they look to add to their attacking options after securing a place in the Champions League.
One player who will be available on a free this summer is Youri Tielemans. Another who has earned rave reviews in his time with Leicester City, the Belgian international will be inundated with offers this summer.
He would be a transfer bargain for Tottenham and someone who would immediately give them a midfield boost. Harvey Barnes is also a player Spurs may want to keep an eye on. The Lilywhites need to strengthen out wide this summer with Lucas Moura departing and Arnaut Danjuma's loan spell set to expire.
Since forcing his way into the Foxes' XI, the 25-year-old left winger has contributed with 44 goals and 32 assists in 186 games. Barnes' homegrown status would certainly help Tottenham out in terms of their squad for next campaign.
Leeds United
Tottenham could find a couple more wide options at Elland Road with Leeds on the verge of a return to the Championship after three seasons in the Premier League. Injury may have disrupted Luis Sinisterra's first year in West Yorkshire but the versatile winger has still managed to chip in with seven goals and one assist from 22 games.
The Colombian ace proved last season that he is some talent with 23 goals and 14 assists in Arne Slot's exciting Feyenoord team. Wilfried Gnonto will also be on the radar of a number of clubs after wowing in his game time for Leeds.
The 19-year-old, who is capable of playing in a number of attacking roles, may have played a bit-part role of late but he has all the qualities to be a major hit in the Premier League. Signed for only £3.8m, Leeds will make an instant profit on the Italian international.
Southampton
James Ward-Prowse's time at St Mary's is likely to come to an end this summer as he's far too good for the Championship and Premier League clubs will be queuing up to sign him. A player with bags of top-flight experience to his name, the 28-year-old is exceptional over the ball at free-kicks and corners and his quality would be a major asset to Tottenham.
Ward-Prowse's midfield partner Romeo Lavia is also likely to move on after a fine debut season in the top flight. The jump up to the regular Premier League football has not fazed him one bit and he has been a rare shining line for the south coast club.
Already capped at international level for Belgium, the 19-year-old is one for the future and it's no surprise to see why a number of teams in the top half of the Premier League have been linked. Finally, another player who has fared well at St Mary's this summer despite the team's woes is centre-back Armel Bella-Kotchap.
The German international, who was signed from VFL Bochum, is another player destined for a bright future in the game and the 21-year-old was rewarded for his form at Southampton with a call-up to the national team. He really could shine alongside a more experienced defender who could help guide him along.
