Bargain hunters flock to Lanarkshire's new Adidas outlet store

Shoppers have been lining the street to grab a bargain as a new Adidas outlet store opened its doors in East Kilbride this week.

Lanarkshire Live told how the sportswear giant was advertising for staff to join their team at the Kingsgate Retail Park bringing a much needed jobs boost to the town.

The retail unit joins fellow sportswear brand Nike at the shopping park off Glasgow Road.

With big discounts on premium sportswear and streetwear "engineered for action", shoppers were out in force to get their hands on the latest classic styles and modern designs.

The store's opening offer is 20 per cent off when you spend £100 in-store.

One excited shopper queuing up for discounted goods when the factory outlet opened yesterday said: "The bargains are unreal".

Another said: "It's a lovely new store, there were great bargains to be had. And there was a fantastic selection for all ages and sizes."

Sports giant Adidas is the largest manufacturer in Europe, and the second largest in the world, after Nike.

The German multinational corporation, founded and headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, designs and manufactures shoes, clothing and accessories.
