Emergency services have been called out to bring down a man who climbed the Palace of Westminster’s Elizabeth Tower barefoot, carrying a Palestine flag.
The area around the tower, which houses Big Ben, was cordoned off after police were called to the scene of a man stood on a ledge several metres up on Saturday morning (8 March).
Three emergency workers were seen on an aerial platform attempting to speak to the man, who was reportedly live-streaming the event on Instagram, via a megaphone.
