Barcelona became Copa del Rey champions for the 32nd time after beating Real Madrid 3-2 in Seville. The match was as much as Clasico as any other, complete with high drama.
Pedri scored from range to open the scoring in the first half, leaving Madrid looking dazed and out of contention. But they would bounce back in the second half as Carlo Ancelotti introduced Kylian Mbappe and Luka Modric, reversing the momentum with two quickfire goals in the 77th minute.
It seemed all but won for Madrid before Ferran Torres equalised at the death, forcing the dreaded period of extra-time. Both sides looked exhausted but pushed for the winner, leaving the first half a stalemate before Jules Kounde struck from range in the 116th minute to secure Copa del Rey glory and a third Clasico win of the season for Barcelona.
