Barcelona to launch 'final offensive' for Man City's Bernardo Silva and more transfer rumours

Manchester City are reportedly set to face a 'final offensive' from Barcelona in their pursuit of Bernardo Silva.

According to Spanish outlet Sport (via The Sun ), the Spanish club are planning one last bid in an effort to tempt Pep Guardiola into selling the player. It has been reported that City are not willing to budge from an £84million price-tag for Silva's services, which may prove to be too big an asking price for Barcelona.

However, it is believed that Xavi's side are still looking to submit another bid as they look to improve their squad this transfer window. Barcelona have already added Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie and Jules Kounde this summer - meaning that City will be in no mood for the Spanish club to try and negotiate a lower fee after seeing how heavily they have already spent.

Elsewhere, City youngster Liam Delap could be set to complete a loan move to Stoke City this summer.

According to the Telegraph's John Percy (via Sports Illustrated ), Stoke are hopeful of completing the loan signing for Delap this transfer window. Guardiola had already confirmed that the striker is set to go on loan after admitting that the 19-year-old is too good for academy football.

Since the arrival of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez this summer, opportunities in the first team for City will be severely limited and the player's best chance at getting match experience will come through a season-long loan. With West Brom also believed to be interested in the youngster, the club and the player will most likely sit down together soon to decide exactly where Delap will be able to take his career to the next level.
