Police in Barcelona have apprehended a fourth individual in connection with the stabbing of Mounir Nasraoui, the father of 17-year-old Spanish soccer prodigy Lamine Yamal. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, saw Nasraoui sustain multiple stab wounds during a confrontation with a group of individuals near Barcelona.

Following the arrest of three suspects on Wednesday, authorities expressed gratitude to the public for their assistance in the apprehension of those allegedly involved in the attack. Nasraoui, who remains hospitalized, took to social media to update well-wishers on his condition, stating that he is 'feeling better' and expressing his appreciation for the outpouring of support.

Despite the traumatic event, Yamal participated in regular training with his Barcelona teammates on Thursday. The club is set to commence its Spanish league campaign with a match against Valencia on Saturday.

Yamal gained widespread recognition after his standout performance in Spain's victory at the European Championship in July. The young talent played a pivotal role in the final, assisting Nico Williams' opening goal in a 2-1 triumph over England. Additionally, he scored a remarkable goal in the semifinals and was honored with the tournament's best young player award shortly after celebrating his 17th birthday.
