Arsenal could face significant competition in their transfer pursuit of Evan Ndicka with Barcelona declaring a serious interest in signing the defender along with Juventus and AC Milan. The Gunners reportedly 'reached an agreement' for the Eintracht Frankfurt star to arrive on a pre-contract deal with his contract in Germany set to expire in the summer of 2023.
A report from il Romanista in early December claimed that the Gunners had already agreed terms which would see the French defender arrive in north London ahead of the 2023/24 season. football.london understands that a new wide forward and central midfielder are the two key areas Arsenal want to improve, but a left-sided centre back is also high on their demands.
Ndicka would fit that profile and at just 23 he could be a long-term asset to the Gunners that can provide cover for Gabriel Magalhaes. However, Ndicka could be set for a stay in Germany after Frankfurt offered him a new contract.

According to BILD, the current Europa League champions have offered Ndicka and team-mate Daichi Kamada new contracts until 2026 with a significant salary increase. Both would receive a salary between €2.5m and €3m, which would put them in the top earners alongside Kevin Trapp and Mario Götze.
That is certainly an attractive proposition for Ndicka and a new report has presented another option for the defender that could be difficult to turn down. As per German outlet SPORT1 Barcelona are 'seriously interested' in Ndicka, who has made it clear he will not renew his Frankfurt contract.
Serie A giants AC Milan and Juventus are also said to be keeping their eye on Ndicka as it is expected he will not remain in Germany, despite the contract offer tabled by Frankfurt.
