Barcelona confirm Ousmane Dembele is considering Premier League move amid Chelsea links

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has revealed that there is still Premier League interest in Ousmane Dembele.

The Frenchman rejected a new contract at the Nou Camp, and Barcelona have since made it clear that they want to sell the 24-year-old in January.

PSG have seemed the most likely destination for Dembele, however there have been a number of deadline day rumours suggesting that Chelsea are keen on a late move.

Laporta confirmed the ball is now in Dembele’s court and whether he accepts the offer that is on the table to make the move to England.

“Different solutions have been proposed and the latest one depends on the player accepting it so that he can go to an English club,” Laporta told Mundo Deportivo.

Barcelona are adamant that if Dembele does not move before the window shuts, he will have to either sign a new contract at the club or he will be left in the stands until the summer.

The winger played under Thomas Tuchel for a year at Borussia Dortmund, before joining Barcelona in 2017 as a replacement for Neymar, for a fee in the region of £135m.

However, the move has not worked out as hoped and Barcelona are desperate to sell him now, rather than risk losing him for free in the summer.
