Barcelona appear to have aimed a sly dig at Chelsea's pursuit of Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana on Instagram.
football.london understands that Chelsea are set to open talks with Fofana's representatives over a move to Stamford Bridge. The Blues have watched the 21-year-old for a while now and believe he can develop into a world-class talent. The Foxes defender recently signed an extension at the King Power Stadium – with his contract expiring in the summer of 2027.
The Blues, who have already brought Kalidou Koulibaly to Stamford Bridge, want to sign at least one more defender, with Thomas Tuchel's preference being another two centre-backs.

Although Chelsea have done some good business in this window, they've been thwarted by Barcelona on more than one occasion. Ousmane Dembele firstly chose to stay at the Camp Nou despite the Blues' best efforts to bring the Frenchman to west London. Barca then beat Chelsea to the signing of Brazilian winger Raphinha, whilst Jules Kounde, who's long been linked with a transfer to Stamford Bridge, seemingly wants to sign for the Catalonian outfit ahead of Tuchel's side.
Now, Barca appear to have added extra salt into the wounds. That's because their official Instagram account has liked a post from Sky Sports regarding Chelsea's interest in Fofana.
The like could merely be an attempt to wind up Chelsea fans playfully. That being said, given how the two have battled in the transfer window already if Barca were to end up making a move, it wouldn't be too much of a surprise.
