A banner flew over the I’m A Celeb camp with a blunt message for shamed former health secretary Matt Hancock : GET OUT OF HERE!
The MP quit in disgrace after he was pictured embracing his aide, Gina Coladangelo, in breach of his own Covid regulations which millions had to endure.
A poll last night revealed that just one in four people has forgiven Hancock, 44, left, for his illicit clinch.
And a group of grieving relatives yesterday urged him to get out of the jungle and start making amends for his bungled handling of the pandemic.
Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice teamed up with campaigners 38 Degrees, and had a 35-metre banner flown for two hours over the I’m A Celebrity jungle camp in New South Wales. It read “Covid Bereaved Say Get Out Of Here!”
Matthew McGregor, of 38 Degrees, said: “Our message emblazoned across the skies makes crystal clear to Matt Hancock, you should be representing the people of West Suffolk and giving bereaved families the answers they deserve.” And Families group member in the pandemic, y. H ,e”
The Prime Minister also slammed the rogue MP. Rishi Sunak, inset, who is attending the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia, said: “We are privileged to have these jobs and we should take that privilege seriously.”
Former Tory chairman Jake Berry told Matt Forde’s The Political Party podcast that Hancock is “finished”, adding: “I suspect that he is not going to stand at the next General Election.”
Parliamentary standards watchdog Kathryn Stone revealed her office had received “dozens of complaints”.
She added: “It raises important questions about members’ activities while they are supposed to be representing constituents.”
On last night’s show, Boy George described Hancock as “very hard to warm to”, which Sue Cleaver put down to the MP being “an economist in a camp of creatives”. Hancock was also grilled about Liz Truss and Boris Johnson.Ironically, he said of Truss: “Her political career is over. No ambiguity at all.”
And asked by Seann Walsh if he backed Boris, he replied: “When it was time to go, it was time to go.”
The survey by One Poll revealed that 53.5 per cent of people have not forgiven Hancock for his lockdown breach, with 26 per cent forgiving him and 21.5 per cent undecided.
Bookmakers now have him as fourth favourite to leave first.
OnePoll’s Harry Gove said: “While Hancock still has some campmates to win over, he has a bigger job to win over viewers and a long, long way to go in securing the nation’s forgiveness."
