Tensions over policing and France's unresolved issues with its banlieues, its working-class suburbs, are coming to the fore.
Barricades and tear gas steadily feed France's news cycle, but the Justice For Nahel march earlier this Thursday in Nanterre highlights issues that are starkly different from the Yellow Vest movement or the more recent pension reform protests. We ask about policing, minorities who feel unfairly singled out and the rioters who targeted symbols of the French Republic like town halls.
