Banking apps for Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland go down

People using online banking services with Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Lloyds had difficulties accessing their accounts this morning. Customers trying to see how much money they had in their accounts were seeing "N/A" displayed.

Online tool Downdetector suggests the issue is affecting people who use banks which area part of the Lloyds Banking Group. It started at around 10.30am when a large number of people started reporting issues, MirrorOnline reports.

Sean tweeted Lloyds to say: "I am trying to send my mom some money for mothers day but your app is not showing my account! What is going on with your app?!?!?"

Alex Robbins tweeted Lloyds: "Your online banking is down. Can't access all my accounts but can access some. Please fix ASAP!"

Lloyds replied to a number of customers, one message said: "Sorry to read your post. We're aware some of you may have had issues with online banking, this is now resolved, please try again. Apologies for any inconvenience caused."
