Bank of Ireland creates 100 tech all-island jobs to accelerate digitalisation

Bank of Ireland has created 100 technology jobs based across the island of Ireland.

The bank said the hybrid roles will be focused on a number of digital projects as it grows its technology offering for customers. It is developing new customer features on digital channels, building out its cyber security and delivering against the group’s cloud strategy, protecting customers against emerging cyber threats, and capabilities such as advanced data analytics.

The roles, which are available in both Northern Ireland and the Republic, will range from cloud platform engineers, cybersecurity experts, data infrastructure engineers, specialised project managers and business analysts.

“We have some exciting digital projects underway across the Group, and we’re looking for talented specialists who want to drive improvements in the banking experience for millions of customers,” Eimear Harty, HR Director, Group Technology & Customer Solutions said. “Banking is changing fast, it’s exciting, and these new positions will be at the forefront of advances in the sector.

“These new roles will further support our progress and momentum as we build a world-class, diverse technology team, delivering improvements for customers.”

The latest hiring round follows the bank’s recruitment drive for 231 technology roles in 2021.
