Bank of America Stadium turned to ‘Sea of Red’ for Chiefs’ win vs. Panthers

Kansas City Chiefs fans turned Bank of America Stadium into a ‘Sea of Red’ on Sunday afternoon during the defending Super Bowl champions’ Week 12 win over the Carolina Panthers.

While Charlotte, North Carolina is quite a long distance from Kansas City, Missouri, Chiefs fans showed up in remarkable numbers for the team’s East Coast trip and got loud enough to make the television broadcast seem like the Panthers had lost their home-field advantage.

Veteran NFL reporter Darren Smith took to Twitter to share his view of fans at Bank of America Stadium and remarked that Chiefs Kingdom had once again taken over another team’s home turf.

Given how close the game ended up being, fans who made the trek to Charlotte deserve at least some of the credit for Kansas City’s narrow victory over the upstart Panthers in Week 12.
