Manchester Pride returns to the city this weekend, with a whole host of festivities planned - including the popular Pride Parade.
Thousands of people will take to the Gay Village from Friday August 26 to Monday August 29. The Canal Street neighbourhood will once again be at the heart of the event, with an ‘exciting and diverse’ range of performers including Spice Girls’ Melanie C, Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle and Drag Race star Bimini performing.
After a couple of days of typical Manchester rain, those attending Manchester Pride 2022 will be glad to know that forecasters predict a mostly dry weekend. Here's what to expect as celebrations get underway...

Friday, August 26
The Met Office forecasts a sunny morning, changing to sunny intervals from the afternoon. Highs will reach 20C, while the lowest temperature will be 13C.
Saturday, 27 August
Expects temperatures to top 21C on the second day of Manchester Pride, with sunny intervals forecast throughout the day. Overnight temperatures will drop to 13C.
Sunday, August 28
Sunday will see the first - and hopefully the only - bit of rain during Pride. Sunny intervals are forecast, which will change to light showers by lunchtime.
But the rain should have cleared up by around 4pm, making way for a partly cloudy night. Temperatures will peak at 21C.
Monday, August 29
Bank Holiday Monday will start off sunny, but conditions will turn cloudy by late morning. More sunny intervals are forecast for the early evening.
Temperatures will reach highs of 20C, with lows of 12C.
