Workers near Bank Underground station have been evacuated after a large fire ripped through a restaurant kitchen with offices above it.
London Fire Brigade was called to Lothbury in City of London just before 4pm on Thursday. It said the ground-floor kitchen near the Bank of England was partially alight.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters are responding. The Brigade received more than 10 calls to the fire.
Fire crews from Shoreditch, Dockhead, Shadwell and surrounding fire stations are in attendance at the scene.
Videos and photos from the scene show large plumes of smoke while a crowd of people, who appeared to have been evacuated, gathered near the Bank of England to watch.
