Ballyfermot residents will have a chance to get a behind-the-scenes tour of their local garda station this weekend.
The Ballyfermot Garda Station is hosting an Open Day this Saturday for the people of Ballyfermot, Chapelizod, Cherry Orchard, and Palmerstown. The public will have the opportunity to speak to a number of specialist departments including the dog unit, mounted unit (horses), public order unit, and community policing unit.
Residents will also be shown the inner workings of the station in a special behind-the-scenes tour. The event is hosted by the Ballyfermot Community Policing Unit who provide ongoing support to local community groups and events.
The Ballyfermot Garda Station Open Day will take place on Saturday, October 1 from 2pm until 5pm.
