Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey: Indiana roundup

Indiana is holding elections, including for municipal and executive offices, on Nov. 7, 2023, and Nov. 5, 2024, respectively. A number of candidates running in these elections completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey. These survey responses allow voters to hear directly from candidates about what motivates them to run for office.

Below is a selection of responses from the candidates who filled out the survey as of Aug. 28. To read each candidate’s full responses, click his or her name at the bottom of the article.

Micah Beckwith (R) is running for Lieutenant Governor of Indiana, and the general election is on Nov. 5, 2024. Here’s how Beckwith responded to the question: What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

“… Micah will make it a priority to get politics and the woke agenda out of our classrooms. He supports parental rights and stopping the teaching of Critical Race Theory and the transgender agenda. Micah believes that our children should receive a quality education that prepares them to compete in the new global marketplace.”
