Ballie Ballerson, the iconic London ball pit for grown-ups that transports its guests back to a carefree childhood is set to open its doors right here in Edinburgh this summer.
With theatrical cocktails, the coolest illusion lighting, and insta-worthy backdrops, McSorley’s Irish Bar on Forrest Road has almost transformed into Ballie Ballerson's first venue outside of England.

The ball pit cocktail bar will include a waist-deep, wall-to-wall mirrored ball pit filled to the brim with clear balls, that are cleaned, disinfected, and dried regularly, and change colour with the vibe of the LED disco bottom.
The 300-capacity site is currently being renovated into a fun-filled attraction like no other in Scotland with a neon theme featuring bespoke murals painted across two floors by established graffiti artists and up and coming graphic designers.
As for the drinks on offer, award-winning bartenders will be shaking things up with retro sweet-inspired cocktails alongside a selection of spirits and beers.
There will be an on-site wellness room managed by first-aiders for customers to use as a safe space, or to take a moment away from the dancefloor.
A trained team member will be available throughout opening hours to support any needs including mental health support or first-aid attention.
Founder Wenny Armstrong said: "We’re so excited to bring all things Ballie Ballerson to Edinburgh.
"Scotland was an easy choice when expanding outside of England because we know Scots are always up for a good time. It’s been difficult keeping it a secret but we’re so glad to get the news out there and be ready to welcome some new ballers through our doors."
Ballie Ballerson is due to open mid-summer from 6pm – 1am, Wednesday – Sunday. Bar entry is free and ball pit entry will be ticketed with managed time slots.
